You will achieve 15kV phase-to-ground insulation when you use one wrap of the tape with a 10% stretch and a 2/3 overlap. 30kV will be achieved with a subsequent wrap.

Keep tape clean – Dust, dirt and moisture on hands or tape will prevent tape from adhering to itself.

Must overlap 100% at the start of the application and continue covering apparatus by stretching tape 10%. Press tape down firmly to ensure that no air pockets can develop.

If there is any possibility to hold water – Allow a place for water to egress out

At the termination of the application – be sure to wrap the tape 100% over itself to avoid flagging.
